The fee charged is 1.9% plus 10 cents for each payment where $1 or more is received. However, this is a commission that is relatively low, so most stores are able to take it without any inconvenience.
Are there limits to the payments that can be made with Venmo?
There are certain limits that apply to making purchases with the Venmo app. The daily limit, if you have not verified your identity, is $299.99, and when you verify your identity, this will increase to $6,999.99.
However, there is a weekly limit for sending money between Venmo accounts of $4,999.99 per week. All purchases over $3,000 will be declined, and you can only make a maximum of 30 transactions per day.
If you are going to use Venmo to buy cryptocurrencies, you should keep in mind that the limit per week is $20,000 and per year is $50,000.
