Two years, four seats and as much responsibility as you can shoulder; that’s what we offer the 18 trainees we take on each year. And because our training is not only structured and practical but highly personalised, you’ll be able to develop along a path that’s absolutely right for you.
Whatever the practice, expect stimulating, cutting-edge projects. You could find yourself working on anything from a high-profile, multi-million pound financial litigation case to a ground-breaking M&A deal. You could even spend time on secondment at a client’s office, absorbing a totally different business culture first-hand. Trainees can also apply to gain experience overseas in our Dubai, Hong Kong, Seoul or Singapore offices.
Although every seat is a different journey, each is designed to give you a broad balance of commercial awareness and practical legal experience, plus the flexibility to move between projects and to pick up new skills. There will be plenty of challenges, but also loads of support. At every stage you’ll be coached and mentored by a partner or senior solicitor who’ll give you regular feedback, advice and guidance on everything from your day-to-day role to your long-term career decisions.

We want you to feel valued so we’ll offer you a salary of £40,000 in year one and £42,500 in year two. Our current NQ salary is £65,000. What we look for
Firstly we look for a quick intellect. As well as at least a 2:1 in any degree subject area plus 320 UCAS points or equivalent, you'll need strong analytical skills, sound judgment, imagination and meticulous attention to detail. Also vital are the communication skills to be persuasive and build rapport, plenty of drive and determination, plus a keen interest in business.
