To become a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon you need fill and submit the online Student Recruitment Application form of your college or chapter with:
1.- Personal information: name, permanent address, primary phone number, email id, name of parents or guardians.
2.- Academic information like academic status, current school, current GPA, academic honors and achievements. You are required to tell about accomplishments you are proud of and why as well as extracurricular activities.
3.- Other information you are required to submit: like how did you come to know about Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Do you have any family member/relatives who are /were a member of SAE? Do you know any members of the SAE chapter, and are you interested in visiting the SAE chapter house? You must also tell what interests you in joining the fraternity and what you hope to gain from the fraternity in the recruitment form.

The cost to join Sigma Alpha Epsilon is a one-time new member fee of $300. If you are joining the fraternity by semester, the price for the Fall intake is $600, and for the Spring intake is $550.
In terms of living in the facility, the average rental fee is $3,100 per quarter. The average cost of living in the dorms can be around $4,000 to $4,500 each quarter if you include food expenditures.
