Cash App is one of the most popular peer-to-peer apps to send and receive money, especially for day-to-day transactions with family, friends, coworkers, etc. It is also commonly used to give money as a gift or split bills at restaurants.
In addition, as a security measure, the app has a “block” feature in case you want to stop someone from sending you money requests or if you do not want to be related to them. This is helpful if you think someone is committing scams or suspicious transactions.

First, why would you block someone?
Although this may seem a silly question, the truth is that there have been cases where it is essential to block someone. Otherwise, the feature would not exist, right?
The most common reason is when someone you do not know is constantly sending you payment requests by mistake. Maybe it’s a scam, or perhaps it’s someone who got the wrong user (or tag name). In both cases, the best option is to block them.
Do not worry about doing this. It will not affect anything in your account, and you can undo it whenever you want. If you accidentally sent someone to this blocklist and want to unblock it, you can follow the steps below.
Guide to Unblock on Cash App
First, open the app. If you are new here, you can download it from the Apple Store or the Play Store, depending on your phone’s operating system.
Go to the Home Screen and click on the bottom right icon that looks like a clock. That is the “Transactions” section.
Now you will see all your activity, last transactions, recipients, etc. So, to continue, click on a trade from the person you just blocked.
You will see on the screen the Cash App tag name, the amount of the request, the subject and the day it was sent.
Once you see the information mentioned above, click on the three dots in the top right corner. That will bring a drop-down menu where you will see three options: Unblock The Person, Web Receipt and Support.
Finally, if you are sure about having this person back into your Cash App, click on “Unblock This Person”, and you are done! Now you can send and receive money from this person again, without any inconvenience.
However, since this “block and unblock” feature does not send notifications to the other person, be sure to let them know that it was a mistake (if applicable) and it is now resolved.
What if I need to block the person again?
This part is easy. You just need to follow the same steps mentioned above, but instead of the “Unblock This Person” option, you will see “Block This Person”.
You can do this as many times as you want. However, if you do it a lot, you might get a call from the Cash App Support due to unusual activity, so don’t overdo it.
