Description

Your role will be to work on the day-to-day delivery of digital content for Agilisys and our customers who operate in sectors as diverse as education, finance, media and public services. You will learn to write content and articles for digital communications, carry out research into industries and markets and plan and execute digital, social media and email marketing campaigns.

Role Description:

As an apprentice you will be working on projects developing digital communications to support services, marketing and business development activities.

You will learn how to research and analyse customers and markets, how to develop innovative and suitable content for the web and other digital platforms, how to plan and execute digital communications and how to use social media as a tool for driving business.

As part of the Apprenticeship you may be expected to do some or all of the following:

-        Researching and writing digital content including articles, email newsletters , blogs and press releases

-        Writing and reviewing  website content and contributing to website design and development

-        Planning and conducting social media campaigns through tools such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn

-        Monitoring markets and using this information to develop new and interesting content

-        Researching new industries and markets and using this information to inform campaigns and communications

-        Developing and updating databases of recipients and customers

-        Evaluating the success of digital communications

-        Coming up with ideas for new and innovative types of content such as animations or videos and implementing these ideas

Person specification

Essential

-        Minimum of 5 GSCE at grade C or above including English, Maths or equivalent qualifications. Consideration will be made for exceptional candidates without these qualifications. Holders of degrees or equivalent Level 4 qualifications are not eligible

-        Confident in using computers and the internet

-        The ability to write clearly and accurately in English

-        Good questioning  skills

-        Attention to detail

-        An enthusiasm for using the internet to drive business

-        Ability to work in a team

-        A positive attitude

-        Entitlement to work in UK and have held UK residency for at least  3 years

Desirable

-        A Level or equivalent qualifications

-        GCSE ICT or equivalent qualification at grade C or above

-        Previous experience in copywriting or writing for the internet

-        Research or business analysis experience

-        Experience of direct marketing or social media marketing

Training information and qualification

You will complete a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Creative and Digital Media (equivalent to 2 ‘A’ levels).  This will cover the following subject areas in order to complete the qualification:

Mandatory Units

-          Awareness of employment in the creative media sector

-          Communicating and presenting ideas in the creative media sector

-          Awareness of converging digital technology in the creative media sector

-          Professional behaviour in the Creative Media Sector

-          Contribute to good working relationships

-          Awareness of health and safety and how to ensure your own actions reduce risks to health and safety

-          Creative media industry awareness

Optional units:

You will also undertake a selection of optional modules dependent on your specific   job role and preferences but could include:

-          Production of copy for interactive media products

-          Identifying sources of information and present findings

-          Preparing assets for use

-          Preparing 2D animations

-          Communication using digital marketing / sales channels

-          Media audiences and products (knowledge qualification)

-          Communication skills for Creative Media Industries

-          Research Techniques for the Creative Media Industries

-          Digital Communication including website design
