Having made the decision to apply to Bond Dickinson, you'll no doubt be keen to hear about our application process.  Like any training contract application process, it is designed to put you through your paces, but we really hope that the whole process fairly reflects our culture throughout. 

The first stage is an on-line application form which assesses the core competences we look for: analytical thinking skills, communication and influencing skills, an ability to build strong and lasting relationships, commercial awareness an ability to adapt and innovate and drive and motivation.  If you are successful in getting through this stage, you will be invited to complete online verbal critical reasoning assessments.  The next step will be to attend a one day assessment centre in the location of your choice.

We're often told that our assessment centre is relatively relaxed and reflects the culture and values of the firm.  There is no getting away from the fact that you are here to be assessed but we genuinely believe that the only way to get the best out of people is to put them at ease.  We spend a lot of time doing that before we start the day.

The day consists of a number of exercises designed to assess the core competencies.  But we also allow you time to meet with the trainees, Partners and other people from around the business. By the end of the day we hope that you can make an informed decision about whether we are right for you as much as we are doing the same about you!

Our closing date for applications is 31 July 2013 for training contracts due to commence in 2015.
