The firm provides constant support to make sure trainees are never out of their depth. It all adds up to a colourful world of choice.

BDO’s Advisory services help our clients to meet these challenges at every stage of their life cycle. Such key events might include buying a new business, or exiting one in order to extract maximum value. A business might run into financial difficulties – we can help there too, stepping in to stabilise and restructure the organisation. We have other advisers who specialise in resolving legal disputes with a financial dimension or in fighting fraud. A company may wish to expand internationally, float on a stock exchange, manage its risk or achieve specific long-term objectives – our advisory teams provide expert support in all these areas.

Advisory contains many different teams. You could be working in one of the below areas:

 - Business Restructuring

 - Technology Advisory

 - Global Outsourcing

 - Mergers and Acquisitions

 - Transaction Services

 - Management Consulting

You will spend 5 years studying and working towards your professional qualification. This will be either the AAT or CFAB. Once you have obtained the initial qualification you will go on to study towards either the ACA, CFA, CIMA or PRINCE2 qualification. The qualifications you study towards will be tied to the stream of Advisory that you join. We provide mentoring and on-the-job coaching, as well as plenty of time for you to study and prepare for your exams.

At BDO we offer our trainees a highly competitive starting salary and we’ll pay your tuition and all your professional exam fees, as well as bonuses for passing your exams during your training period. You will also be eligible to choose from a range of fixed and flexible benefits to suit your lifestyle, from buying extra holiday to season ticket loans and discounted gym membership.
