Achieve Your Career Goals On Our Apprentice Programme

You’ll receive tailored on-the-job training from in house subject matter experts, combined with early responsibility to help you develop and progress.  You’ll be working towards a nationally recognised qualification studying for an HNC or HND as well as SVQ modules in life science.

Working with both your line and programme manager we want to identify the right opportunities to help you succeed in the short term and throughout your career with us.  You will also be assigned a buddy or a mentor who will be there to offer support and guidance throughout your apprenticeship.

Apprenticeship Course

Your apprenticeship is a blend of learning on the job and working towards your apprenticeship with a partner course provider, you will study at Angus & Dundee College, Forth Valley or Angus Training Centre for this apprenticeship (please note: the provider may be subject to change).

What Will You Do?

You will be part of our labs team based at our manufacturing site in Montrose.

 

Your Duties Might Include:

  • Working as part of a team to support the routine analysis of raw materials, manufactured and stability samples using classical and chromatographic techniques as appropriate

  • Consistently operate to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratories Practices (GLP) standards to ensure compliant product testing

  • Maintain and calibrate a wide range of analytical equipment to ensure continual production of accurate and precise results

  • Manage the smooth and efficient flow of samples and products from manufacturing, logistics and other areas on site to the laboratory.

  • Ensure all college work is completed on time and to the required standard to pass the course.

  • Shadow staff members to develop skills and knowledge

  • Complete logs of work carried out including supporting documents.

  • Ensuring a positive can-do attitude that puts the safety, compliance and business at the forefront of the decisions made day to day.

  • Looking for ways to improve safety, quality and laboratory processes
