Our 14-acre site has a wide range of machinery meaning we can manufacture and store almost any type of structural steelwork, including galvanised specialist structural steelwork that requires precision manufacturing.
We have a proven expertise in delivering:
- Overhead line electrification (OLE) steelwork for the rail industry
- Callendar Hamilton lattice girder bridges
- Telecommunication masts and towers
About the role:
We have a new exciting opportunity to work as an Advanced Mechanical Engineer This role with give you the opportunity to work for a market leading company, whilst gaining valuable skills and experience to ensure you develop to your full potential throughout the apprenticeship.
What the apprenticeship will offer:
During the four-year Advanced Apprenticeship, you would complete the full framework on day or block release. After completing the Advanced Apprenticeship, you would be given full support to develop into a qualified structural steel fabricator
What you'll be doing
Your responsibilities as an Apprentice Electrician:
As an Advanced Apprentice in Mechanical Engineering, you would work within a team, offering a fully integrated, end-to-end solution that embraces the design, supply and distribution of structural steel elements.
You will directly manufacture overhead line electrification (OLE) structural steelwork, power transmission towers and an array of specialist fabrications for the infrastructure industry. As a specialist in the manufacture and fabrication of structural steelwork, Painter Brothers provides greater levels of material security and programme certainty, by way of a dedicated fabrication and storage facility in Hereford.
Our extensive knowledge and expertise in supplying structural steel components throughout the UK and overseas ensures that our customers receive quality assured solutions, that have been engineered, fabricated and checked by a dedicated, in-house team.
Who we're looking for
4 GCSEs at Grade C or above including Maths and English
Good communication skills
Good team working skills
Have the ambition and motivation to work within the engineering and construction industry
