A new opportunity exists for two dedicated and passionate individuals to join our Procurement team, serving planning and construction of the Hinkley Point C new nuclear power station. This world class project is destined to be the largest infrastructure project in the UK, and as a (Procurement Trainee), you will play a key role in helping us secure the equipment and services we will need to deliver.

Our School & College Leaver programme combines studying for an accredited qualification with real on-the-job experience. Our programme will provide a fully funded accredited day release HNC and/or degree in Business or Commercial Management, for up to five years, leading to Professional membership of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply. The successful applicants will work alongside experienced Laing O’Rourke professionals on the project, and attend college / university at the same time.  Throughout, you’ll learn about commercial processes and planning to industry standards.

We are looking to fill two opportunities – we expect one to be based at the construction complex at Hinkley Point, near Bridgwater, with the other role based at our offices in Bristol.  Our ideal candidates will be meticulous and methodical, process driven and be interested in a career in Procurement. They will hold, or aspire to gain, 280 UCAS points, and ideally should live in the South West or Bristol areas.
