Each of our Apprentices have their own story and all come from different backgrounds but they all share one thing in common; they've loved their apprenticeship with us.  And why wouldn’t they?  They are part of an apprenticeship programme which won regional and national awards in 2016 and 2017!  They receive unparalleled support, work with excellent professionals in an innovative team and are offered high quality work.  We have been running apprenticeships for across our offices for many years, so we've learned what really works.

Why are we recruiting?

Our lawyers could not do what they do without our talented support services.  You don't have to be a lawyer to have a successful career in a law firm and our Client Support team are living proof of that. With increasing demand for data reporting and project management, alongside our firm's advancing technology, it's a very exciting time to be joining them. They are a multi-disciplinary team of Administrators, Project managers, Data Analysts and Client Co-ordinators looking for someone with an interest in a career in business support.  Both of our previous Business Administration Apprentices, James & Chloe, have successfully completed their apprenticeships and been promoted into our innovative team to continue developing their careers. The apprentices in Plymouth are a close bunch who support each other and enjoy mixing not just in work but outside too.  So it's easy to see why we're looking forward to welcoming a new cohort of apprentices to join us in September and that's where you come in.

So what makes it so great to work here?

Firstly, we're award winning.  We've received recognition for our apprenticeship programme in the form of two awards reassuring you that the quality of support you'll receive here is second to none.

Secondly, we've worked hard and continue to work hard, to create an open culture that sets us apart from other firms.  Our culture gives us much more of a human feel, emphasising that we're more than just suits!  We like and make time for each other enabling us to establish professional relationships that often become lasting friendships.

There are lots of extra-curricular activities to get involved in too; perhaps you're into charity fund raising, we love to see people keen to get involved with our responsible business strategy, so much so we'll even give you two days per year on us to get involved. Maybe organising social events or being part of a sports team is more your thing? There really is something for everyone.

And that's not all, alongside a competitive salary of £16,380 you'll receive the same flexible benefits package so you can pick and choose between the benefits that matter most to you.

What will you actually be doing?

You'll be supporting a high performing team called the Legal Solutions Centre in servicing our legal teams based across all of our 8 UK locations.  Within the LSC are teams of Paralegals, Solicitors and of course… the Client Support Services team which is who you'll be joining. It's a varied and exciting role that will see you carrying out a range of activities including the opening and closing of files, carrying out conflict checks for new and existing clients, drafting correspondence, amending documents, billing, client reporting and other associated administration tasks.  You'll receive training from a variety of members of the team including Administrators, at the right pace for you.  You'll be allocated a Supervisor, who will help you to keep on track with your studies and a mentor, an experienced team member dedicated to you to learn from.  You'll experience a broad variety of quality training, with exposure to household named clients and cutting edge work, which will help shape the direction of your career.

What do we need from you?

You should have good academics; 3 A-levels at CCC or equivalent are a minimum. Beyond that, we will be looking for you to demonstrate a few core skills including team-working, communication, creative and analytical thinking, an ability to build strong and lasting relationships and a drive to succeed.

So you're interested but still have some questions?

This all sounds great but it's a big decision and you still have reservations, how can you be sure this is not just a cleverly worded advert but actually based on fact?  If you want a quick chat with me before you apply, I'd love to hear from you.  My name is Charlotte Hall and you can reach me on 0117 989 6745.

I'm sold, what next?

If you're already sold what are you waiting for?  You can apply via the apply now button below, take your time to make a strong application, the closing date is not until 30 April so plenty of time to get it right.
