What you'll be doing
Our apprenticeships give you the chance to develop into a skilled Cyber Security Professional. You'll work alongside experienced colleagues to gain job specific skills, and you'll learn all you need to play an important part in shielding BT and our customers from the dangers of the internet.
You could be working in our Security Operation Centre, for Security Delivery teams supporting our external customers, or in more specialised teams in Solutions & Software. Providing you meet all your objectives and milestones you’re guaranteed job with us at the end of the programme.
Training & Support
Throughout the course of your apprenticeship, you’ll gain a wealth of invaluable experience. You’ll also be taught key concepts such as security, identity, confidentiality, integrity, availability, threat, vulnerability, risk and hazard and how they relate to each other.
Other job-specific skills you’ll acquire will include security assurance, cybersecurity concepts applied to ICT infrastructure, attack techniques and sources of threat, cyber defence and relevant laws and ethics.
To join our Apprentice Cyber Security Professional Level 6 programme you’ll need to achieve (or have achieved) three A-Levels with a minimum of BBC grades, which must include a STEM subject at a minimum grade B. You'll also need to have a minimum of four GCSEs at grade 4-9 (C or above) including English and Maths. Equivalent qualifications are accepted.
