Higher Apprenticeship Programme

What you'll be doing:
In the first year of your apprenticeship, you will spend time at the National Training Academy in Eakring, Nottinghamshire, completing a variety of training. You will also spend time working alongside managers and colleagues, developing a sound understanding of your business area. Year two involves continuing with academic qualifications and continuing to build your skills, spending time at our academy centres or Aston University (depending on the programme you choose) and learning on the job with the support of your manager. Some of our programmes extend over a third year. You’ll spend most of your time on site, putting your training into practice and setting the foundation you need to go far.

Advanced Apprenticeship Programme
If you enjoy more practical based work and want to start a career whilst furthering your education, why not combine them on one of our Advanced Apprenticeship Programmes. Through a combination of formal study and practical application, you’ll develop the skills and sharpen your knowledge that’ll set you up for a career putting you right at the heart of solving the climate change challenge.
What you will be doing:
As an apprentice, you’ll learn through a scheme rated as one of the top five in the whole country. In your first year, you will be spending time at the National Training Academy in Eakring, Nottinghamshire, completing a mix of safety and basic technical training. Year two involves continuing with academic qualifications and continuing to build technical skills, spending time at our academy centres and learning on the job with the support of your manager, completing a work-log of practical on-site activities. Depending on the apprenticeship you take, you will gain a City & Guilds Diploma, a BTEC and HND level qualification. Our Advanced Apprenticeship schemes can extend over a third or even fourth year depending on the business area, where you’ll get even more exposure to live projects. You’ll spend up to 75% of your time on-site, putting the skills and knowledge you have gained into practice and building a portfolio of experience to further your career with us.
