Ashfords is a national provider of legal, professional and regulatory services. We combine legal expertise, commercial experience and our wider network to help our clients achieve their goals. So, to many clients, we are more than just lawyers, we are professional advisers, mentors and problem-solvers.
Above all, we believe that every client should expect and receive value for time and value for money. Which means that we always aim to provide advice that is not just technically sound, but that is grounded in our understanding of our clients world.
Ashfords is a top 100 law firm with six offices, including a significant presence in London. We’re based predominantly in the South West, with our biggest office in the vibrant city of Exeter.
Ashfords has always been about its people. We want our employees to be engaged and motivated, so that our clients will benefit from a fresh and friendly approach. Our open-plan offices lend well to this idea as all our employees get to work alongside the Partners and Lawyers who are supervising them.
As a leading UK law firm we are proud of our commitment to social and environmental concerns. Our corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme is employee-led, and as part of this we raised almost £300,000 in the past 3 years for Mind, Parkinson's UK and Alzheimer's Society.
During your training contract you will have the opportunity to experience four areas of law, spending six months immersing yourself in the work of each of those four departments.
Our trainees experience real work and are very much part of the team – you go to meetings, court, meet our clients and understand the cases you are working on. We believe there's no better way to learn than by experience, and it provides an excellent start to your legal career.
