Bernie Duffy works for the Colin Neighbourhood Partnership, looking after the finances of the organisation. She says, "at one point in my life that I wanted to become a nurse... But I couldn't stand the sight of blood, I'm very squeamish and can't even watch Casualty without hiding behind the cushion!" Bernie applied for a job as a book keeper, but did not expect to get it as she had no experience. Taking the chance paid off as the interviewer gave her the opportunity and now Bernie wants to get more qualifications under her belt.
