Well paid eco-careers? Do they exist?

I would ideally like to do some thing with the environment etc... I have done quite a lot of voluntary work for the local parish council when I am at home and although I enjoy it, I can't really see how I would be able to support my family one day in this sector...

I think you'll struggle to find big salaries in this area to be honest. Most organisations rely on people having a big passion for the sector as a draw over offering a lot of money. Also, if money is a big driver for you I'd say this is certainly not the sector for you

Saying that though, some government organisations do have 'fat cats' so to speak at the top so if that's your aim, head that direction!

You could be a venture capitalist specialising in the Green sector. There are investment advisers specialising in ethical and green investment too. Or you could always start your own eco company - many of the CEOs for green companies are paid very well... .l
