Is there a standard format to promotions within teaching? I mean, is it like various other professions where after 3 years of qualification you get bumped up to another salary bracket, etc? Also, would be keen to better understand the general hierarchy of schools. Obviously the Head, then deputy, but is it then everybody else is equal below this?
