I thinking about getting into PR. What degree would be best to take? Do you need a degree? Any other tips?
Most people working in PR have degrees - i think it's v hard to get into with one. I think you can take any degree, but you might want to do a degree in public relations, English literature, journalism or marketing. You'll need to get plenty of work experience and internships - you need to work out what area of PR you want to get into e.g. fashion, sport, luxury goods etc. You might want to start a PR or events society at Uni or get involved in publicising student union events. Something that shows a bit of marketing experience.
