I'm pretty funny (and clearly arrogant) and all my mates say I should do stand-up? I don't know how to get started though! What should my first step be?
Ask your mates to put their money where theirs mouths are and get them to pay you to do a gig to raise money for charity- Comic Relief would be a good one! Ask the local pub landlord to ofer you a gig and everyone wins.
Is that a joke? (that was!). Nice idea Asta, but you can usually find comedy night in local pubs and bars - often then have "open mic" nights where anyone can go up. Although, you are going to need some guts to get up in front of a group of strangers - though you have to remember they want to laugh if they have turned up (you would presume at least!).
