Who are we?
Grant Thornton is one of the world’s leading audit, tax and advisory firms, with offices in over 100 countries. But we are much more than just accountants – and so are the people that work for us. We’re a complex, ambitious organisation, helping over 40,000 clients in the UK alone to improve their financial performance and manage risk through our specialised business advisory services.
It's not just what we do, but the way we do it and our passion for business that sets us apart as a firm. Our people constantly strive to add value by fostering strong working relationships, listening critically and digging down to the core issues for each client to provide the kind of clarity and strategic business advice that takes them from where they are to where they want to be.
What are we looking for?
The graduates, placements and interns that join us in 20 of our 27 UK offices each year become well-rewarded, well-rounded business advisors. They know they want a dynamic and challenging career. They love tough challenges, look for opportunities and believe what they do matters. As such, they get variety and responsibility early on and the experience of working on a huge range of homegrown and international clients of all shapes, sizes and across many sectors.
We hire summer interns into our Audit, Tax, Business Risk Services, Actuarial and Recovery departments across the vast majority of our offices nationwide. We advise you search our current opportunities on our website to get the latest specific location and department information.
What you'll be doing?
Our summer internship is a four-to-six week programme that allows you to drill down to the heart of business issues whilst working with a range of dynamic and fast growing clients across all sectors and industries.
You'll gain experience on real projects for real clients. It's an opportunity to make the most of your university holidays - using the time to develop new skills, add to your CV, deepen your appreciation of commercial issues, earn some money and get the opportunity to fast track to our graduate programme. We look to convert 100% of our summer interns to graduate trainees should you perform well throughout your time with us.
