Hello there. I graduated with a law degree in 2011 and feel I probably jumped too quickly into doing the ILEX grad fast track which i'm currently studying towards - i say this because I now am not too sure what options I now have or what ILEX is going to do for me ?
I've been looking at the links for tc's + vac schemes and wonder whether they are at all relevant to someone like me? Ideally I would love to secure a training contract (like everyone else), but considering i'm already a law graduate and they don't kick in until 2014 ... is there any point in applying for a vac scheme to possibly secure a training contract that way ? Apply directly for a training contract ? Or forget about both altogether and just focus on the ILEX 'qualifying employment.' I guess i'm confused because many who complete the LPC apply to ILEX because they cant get a training contract ... ?
But the initial issue I had with doing the LPC was ending up as my friends - i.e. in massive debt with no training contract working as a paralegal.
What options do law graduates even have ? All these applications are for 2 years time !!!
