Hey there I want to work in the human rights field and so wondered if there were any human rights organisations or legal aid clinics that provide training contracts or is the only option commercial firms? Thanks for your time.

The thing is that you can't specialise in human rights straight away as the Law Society requires trainee solicitors to gain experience in at least 3 areas of law. So you need to be flexible when applying to training contracts. According to Kent careers site: "Few firms specialising in Human Rights law will recruit trainees more than a year in advance, and most will recruit people once they have completed their LPC. This may involve starting employment as a paralegal before progressing to a training contract." Firms you might want to look into are: Bindmans LLP London, Christian Khan, Hodge Jones & Allen, Leigh Day & Co and Pierce Glynn. I'm not too sure about human rights organisations of legal aid clinics providing TCs tho...
