I don't think I want to become a lawyer any more...

I'm into my third year of law at uni and I've come to the realisation that I don't really like law anymore. I haven't really enjoyed any work experience I've done and kind of doubting whether I'm cut out to be a solicitor. Everyone else I know on my course is dead set on becoming a lawyer where as I don't share the same drive. Equally though I haven't got a clue what I'd do otherwise.... Help!

Hi, I've just come across your post and not sure whether anyone has replied to you!! I think you could do with a gap year, and get some work experience in other fields. This way you can compare your work experience in law to other professions which may or may not suit you more. Also you have to bear in mind that studying law at uni is quite different to studying the LPC which is very much hands on and practical. My friend is doing the LPC and I am doing the BPTC, and although we were pretty much sick with studying law, we enjoy our courses now! So look into other professions, see if they have internships/placements, may be look for some part time work as well. Give yourself a year to test the waters and make an informed decision :) All the best! VeerAnita
