Private University Offers Students Chance to Dodge Tuition Fee Bullet

BPP University College has announced that it is offering undergraduate university places to students who wish to study accountancy, business or law without the inflated price tag of £9,000. In fact, the tuition fees will be set at £3,225 per year. Not bad, eh? The only catch is that you’ll have to start your degree in May 2012…
Aficionados of education…
Students who are keen to avoid the impending rise in tuition fees can dodge that bullet and start studying early at one of BPP’s centres across the UK. If students start their undergraduate course in May this year, they will only have to pay tuition fees of £3,225 per year.
Students can study for a BSc in Professional Accounting at BPP’s Birmingham and London campuses; they can do a BSc in Business Studies in London and Manchester; and aspiring lawyers can complete their LLB at BPP’s law school in London.
Two year fast-track degrees in each subject are also up for grabs. These will also cost £3,225 per year. Students at BPP University College will also be eligible for the usual student loans.
Carl Lygo, Chief Executive of BPP University College, said:
“One of the reasons we are offering May start degrees is to provide a service for a neglected section of the education and training space – the adult worker. The recent UCAS application figures showed the number of mature students appears to be falling in the wake of the 2012 fee hikes. Hopefully, our May start programmes will show there are alternatives for those looking to switch career and get a degree before they are financially out of reach.”
All of the available degree courses are UCAS listed under BPP University College of Professional Studies. Students who are interested in starting a degree course in May 2012 should contact BPP’s admissions department on 0207 633 4884, or via email at: admissions@bpp.com
