Located in-between Bournemouth and Poole on the south coast of England, Arts University College at Bournemouth is situated in a unique and exciting place to study. Dorset boasts extraordinary natural beauty and has miles and miles of sandy beaches. Poole Harbour also offers a variety of watersports for those wanting to make the most of the location.
Bournemouth is a large and vibrant student town, less than two hours away from London, with excellent train and bus routes to the rest of the country. Bournemouth and nearby Southampton both have airports offering flights internationally and its coastal location means that you can hop on a ferry to Europe.
Arts University College at Bournemouth’s campus is a great place to study art and design-related courses. Its state-of-the-art library, purpose built for the university’s needs, offers endless resources for its students’ research and study needs.
The AUCB gallery on campus is a unique space, which shows regular exhibitions of design, media and performance-related work. It also has its own café too.

University Accommodation…
Accommodation at the Arts College University at Bournemouth is split into two types: halls of residence and private rented accommodation.
There are two halls of residence on campus, East and West House, offering 100 en-suite study bedrooms. Every room has access to a kitchen, which is cleaned on a daily basis. There is also a laundry in each house, with coin operated washing machines and tumble dryers.

Tuition Fees…
From 2012/13, the Arts University College at Bournemouth will be charging £8,600 a year for all of its undergraduate courses. Tuition fees for MA courses will be capped at £4,950 per annum.

Bursaries & Scholarships…
There are a range of bursaries and scholarships to help you finance your studies.To be eligible for this, you must be a student from the UK who is studying full-time and is in receipt of the full maintenance grant of £2,906.
Thefull maintenance grant includes a £600 Bursary award, which is paid in two instalments on successful completion of the year. This also includes bicycle vouchers, on-course support and disability support.

Nightlife…
Bournemouth’s nightlife is vibrant and exciting and very much catered towards the student population. A favourite club night with Arts University College at Bournemouth students is ‘We Are Your Friends’ at The Old Fire Station, which plays everything from electro and dubstep to indie and house. Another favourite venue is the The Winchester at Bournemouth Triangle, a “club-pub hybrid” offering everything from club nights to poetry recitals.
For those more interested in live gigs and comedy shows, check out the 02 Academy in Boscombe and the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC). There are also events and festivals throughout the year in both Bournemouth and Poole, including the Bournemouth Air Festival and Bourne Free, the annual gay pride event, which takes place in July.

Based in the Student Services bungalow, the Careers Service offers careers advice and guidance for AUCB students.
