At Morrisons we delight in being different. We're proud to be in fact. We're a team of friendly people making great food that's affordable for everyone.
It takes a unique approach to do that… one that's based on two vital components: (i) a motivated and talented workforce and (ii) a clear control of the goods we sell.
We also own most of our supply chain, (including our own farm!) and are the UK's second largest fresh food producer. From 18 manufacturing sites we make thousands of products, from sausages to bread to vegetables, helping us get our products from field to fork faster, fresher and making them more affordable for our customers. With approximately 500 stores and growing, we're the UK's fourth largest supermarket, but we're much more than that. This offering is unique, as unlike the other 'big four' supermarkets we can truly vouch for the provenance of the food we sell as we make the majority of it.
It takes a slick and cohesive operation to achieve this, both behind the scenes (in areas such as Head Office, Logistics or Buying) as well as in store – making the goods available to our loyal customers. And that's where our 'one team' and 'can-do' approach come in. These values, among others, are the life blood of our organisation. By living one shared philosophy, we work together across all levels of the business – from store Colleagues to Board members – to reach the same goals.
Rolling out our 'stores of the future' format across our network of stores and new builds has helped us to serve our customers more effectively, giving them better choice and stunning environments in which to shop.
This, combined with our entry into non-food markets, sets the stage for further business growth and diversity. Kiddicare, the multi-channel baby specialist recently joined the Morrisons family. Plus we have developed our own brand clothing range and are driving forward with the imminent launch of our .com site.
As a result, there's never been a more exciting time to join us and help shape the Morrisons of the future.
