Experian is a global provider of information services to individual and enterprise customers, covering credit risk, fraud prevention, volume-driven underwriting decision-making and customer profiling analysis for preapproved offers and other marketing incentives. Experian operates out of over 90 countries across the world, including the UK and Ireland, where it has offices in Dublin, London, Weybridge, Marlow, Nottingham, Solihull, Rugby, Bradford, Manchester, Southport, Bristol and Edinburgh.

Experian has offices in 40 of the countries where it has business operations or clients, with approximately 15,000 employees. The corporate headquarters are located in Dublin and regional operating headquarters are based in Brazil – Sao Paolo; United Kingdom – Nottingham; and the United States of America – Costa Mesa.

Experian originally began as CCN in 1980, establishing the first credit score, credit information sharing and the first credit bureau in the UK, two years later.
