Barber Harrison & Platt (BHP) is a top 60 UK chartered accountancy firm and is the largest, independent player in the Derbyshire and South Yorkshire regions. The firm was created in 1970 with the merger of three Sheffield-based firms—Jarvis Barber & Sons, Ransom Harrison & Lewis, and Sisson Platt & Company.

Since then, the firm has grown through organic means and strategic acquisitions of Carlines in Chesterfield, Moore Fletcher & Company and Cobden Board in the late 90s and a recent merger with Ingram Forrest Corporate Finance in 2006.

The firm has 15 partners and around 170 employees with offices in Sheffield and Chesterfield. The firm is also a member of 2020 International since 2007; 2020 International is an association of independent accountancy and consultancy firms from across the world.
