It's Never Too Late.

As a student, time management and organisation is emphasised a lot. Organising yourself to be able to allocate adequate time for revision, meet deadlines, be punctual for lectures etc. If you haven't mastered your effective techniques to deal with them, it makes organising that social  to student life balance...hard.

It also means, making a lot of "excuses". We all do it. If you miss a deadline, you have to make an excuse as to why. Late to a lecture? Why? I found this when applying for Vacation Schemes. There were certain firms I had in mind, that I wasn't able to apply for because i missed the deadline. Why? Maybe there was a lot going on at the time or I had too much work to do. These are exactly the excuses we use to justify such things. However, it could easily be put down to laziness, or thinking i had plenty of time beforehand because looking at it now, i can't think of an important enough reason why i missed the deadlines. This is where the concept of time management and organisation come in.

If i had organised my time more wisely, I would have allocated a specific day and time to apply for them. It's a shame because you kick yourself looking back on it, but luckily for situations like this there's even more vacation schemes I can apply for, at equally as good firms. So it's never too late.

What I personally need to work on is my sense of urgency, I think once you've mastered that you will make sure things get done meaning managaing your time, and organising yourself to do so. It's definitely a trait us future lawyers need, don't you think?

I'm entering my revision phase within the next week or so i'm going to definitely make sure time management and organisation is a MUST! Last thing i want to do is look back in the summer and not get the grades i wanted because I lacked those two key elements, right?.
